Hardship Payment Plan
Important information on our Hardship Payment Plan
As an Electric Cooperative, we are certainly all in this together and we want to work with you to bring your account current. We understand the hardships that nearly all of us have faced. For this very reason we suspended disconnections and late fees on unpaid accounts since March 17, 2020 and have extended this policy through June 30, 2020.
As part of our Hardship Payment Plan, we are asking our members who have fallen behind because of COVID-19 related issues to give us a call and talk to us about your situation. You will be able to take advantage of one of these two options if you are unable to pay off the full amount by July 1, 2020:
- Option 1: You may elect to pay off the account arrears through a payment plan. With this option, you will be given an arrangement for three months, and for each month you must pay your current use and 33% towards your arrears. During this time, there will be no late fees added.
- Option 2: You can use a portion of your deposit to help pay your past due balance. This solution requires the account to be switched over to our Hardship Payment Plan until the account is current, and 25% of every payment would go towards the overdue balance. Once the past due balance is paid, you may be able to switch back to, your original billing method providing a deposit is made. There will be no late fees.
Please take the time to reach out to us if you are in need. We are unable to assist you if we do not know what you are going through, and we must hear from you before June 30, 2020. You may speak with any one of our customer service professionals at (800)342-0134.
